隨著微軟每月一個CTP版本的正式發布，Windows Vista距離用戶的日子也越來越近，據最新的消息披露說，這個下一代的操作系統將在今年的11月份正式發布，最遲不超過圣誕節。在歡欣鼓舞的同時，也許有一個重大的問題需要你作出決定，自己的機子是否能夠將Windows Vista請回家呢？
前不久，微軟聯合英特爾、AMD、ATi、nVIDIA首次公布了Windows Vista對計算機硬件的最低配置要求，我們不妨來了解一下，看看自己的愛機是否能夠滿足下一代操作系統的要求：
處理器：800MHz，推薦1GHz，建議使用雙核心處理器和64位處理器。
物理內存：最小容量為512MB，推薦1GB。
物理硬盤：7200rpm的SATA或EIDE硬盤，至少擁有2MB緩存，雖然沒有容量方面的具體要求，但建議最小容量是40GB，而其中的可用空間必須不小于15GB。
圖形顯示卡：必須支持WDDM(Windows Display Driver Moder)驅動程序，支持DirectX 9、最小64MB顯存，推薦128MB顯存，而且要求使用獨立顯卡，畢竟Vista Aero的圖形界面對顯卡的要求是相當的高。
網卡：必須具備支持100Mb的網卡，如果是筆記本電腦，那么推薦支持802.11g無線網絡。
光存儲設備：必須是DVD驅動器
從這份僅僅是最低配置的清單來看，Windows Vista對硬件的要求將十分苛刻，即使是Pentium 4、Celeron D這樣的處理器，也只能淪落為入門級的處理器行列。當然，即使用戶的機子配置低于這一要求，也并不意味著無法安裝和運行Windows Vista，只不過是某些主題和效果無法顯示出來而已，因此大多數用戶也無需過度擔心，更詳細的配置要求可以訪問其官方網站進行查看。

All editions of Windows Vista will deliver core experiences such as innovations in organizing and finding information, security, and reliability. Features available in specific premium editions of Windows Vista, such as the ability to watch and record live TV, may require additional hardware.

* 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor.
* 1 GB of system memory.
* A graphics processor that runs Windows Aero.
* 128 MB of graphics memory.
* 40 GB of hard drive capacity with 15 GB free space.
