Spokane Picnic site this year was at Mission Park on July 15, 2001. Mission Park is located next to a water slide park called Splash Down. Branch 442 had special arrangements with Splash Down for tickets.
Letter Carrier families and friends had a full day of activities, fun, food, and events planned by branch member Eric Pardick.
Festivities began around 11:30AM. I was drafted to help with the cooking. When I arrived Moe Chaffin (Vice President of 442) had organized things so well, he politely let me know that I was only in the way.

Everyone signed the registration book, then recieved two tickets for drawings and could purchase tickets to raise money for COLCPE.
