My name is Mike Wilson and I am a member of the WSALC and a constituent in your district.

(ISSUE) Tell them why you are writing. Such as:

I am writing concerning HR 22 and the importance that we pass effective postal reform now. (or) I am writing concerning the pending vote on the ergonomic bill.

(RESOLUTION) Tell them what you would like them to do. Such as:

I urge you to support the pending legislation before the House/Senate (give the bill #) or urge them to co-sponsor a particular bill. (or) I urge you to oppose any legislation which interferes with the collective bargaining rights of the union.

(CLOSING) Thank them for listening. Such as:

Thank you for your support on this very important issue. (or) Please oppose any efforts to reduce our benefits.
